July 17th-August 3rd, 2008
The Strand Theater, located in the Station North Arts District, will be opening its doors for the first time!
The first production in the Strand’s inaugural season is Non Stop Realism by Tim Paggi, as part of the Baltimore Playwright’s
Festival. The original play is a fast and furious satirical critique on American life. It addresses themes such as the nature
of relationships, women’s role in society, and the humorous side of loneliness.
The entire first season of the Strand is dedicated to new works. “The Baltimore Playwright’s
Festival is the perfect opening to our season. The mission of the BPF is completely in synch with our own,” states Artistic
Director, Jayme Kilburn. “The theater community has been extremely supportive of the Strand, loaning us lights, donating
time, and assisting with the cost of fees. We are looking forward to being a part of this collaborative festival.”
